Product Description
What lid and base gift boxes are used for
The default premium pack for gifting: cosmetics and fragrance sets, scarf and knitwear gifts, tea, coffee and confectionery assortments, corporate and event gifts, wedding and new-born packs, and seasonal limited editions.
It is chosen where the box is part of the gift rather than packaging to be discarded - the lid comes off, the base stays on the table, and the pack is kept. Where a range shares one footprint, the same base carries several fills and only the lid print changes between SKUs.
Wrap, edge and lid depth
The pack is wrapped, not printed as a carton: greyboard is covered with art paper, specialty or leatherette stock, the paper is turned in over the edges and the corners finish square, so the outside face shows no seam. Lid depth controls how the gift reveals itself - a shallow lid shows the fill the moment it lifts, a deep lid conceals it.
Decoration is usually restrained because the surface is the product: matte or soft-touch lamination with foil or deep deboss, a ribbon or a tissue bed inside, and a lined base. A magnet, a drawer or a hinged lid can be specified on the same size family when a project needs a different opening.
Why custom lid and base gift boxes from CRIIO
CRIIO cuts to the gift, not to a catalogue size. Send the contents and we set base dimensions, lid depth and interior fitment together, then return a physical sample so the wrap, the edge turn-in and the fit are agreed before platemaking and before your season deadline.
Because one tooling family covers the range, an added SKU is a new print sheet rather than a new die, and starting quantities stay low enough for a single gift drop. Reorders are pulled against the approved sample, so the wrap and the lid depth match across runs.
