Product Description
Where corrugated mailer boxes are used
The working box for direct-to-consumer parcels: apparel and knitwear, cosmetics and personal care, accessories and small electronics, printed matter, and subscription or replenishment drops. It is the box a customer receives on the doorstep, so the print side has to survive a courier network while the pack still presents the brand when it is opened.
It is also used as the retail-ready shipper - the carton travels to a store or a stall and opens as the display, and where a range ships in one outer and sells in single units the mailer is sized to be both. Selection starts from the packed weight and the parcel dimensions, because the freight cost is set by volumetric size, not by the board.
Die-cut structure and closure
The box is cut from one sheet and locked by folded end flaps and interlocking side walls, so it assembles in seconds with no glue, no tape and no second operator - which is where its labour cost stays below a glued carton at the same board grade.
E-flute carries a light retail parcel, B-flute takes a heavier or denser product, and a double-wall spec is used when the boxes stack on a pallet without bulging. A tear strip gives a tamper-evident opening and a perforated pull so the customer can recycle the box flat. Interior print, a printed liner, or a divider cut on the same tooling are specified per run.
Why custom corrugated mailer boxes from CRIIO
CRIIO sizes a mailer to the actual product and its packed weight, then works backwards to the carton, so you are not paying to ship air on a courier volumetric rule. We specify flute, liner grade and closure against your quantity and target landed cost, and prove the fold and the drop behaviour on a physical sample before platemaking.
Boxes ship flat and are cut on our own tooling, so a size change is a dieline change rather than a new machine setup. A printed surface can carry the full outer face including the end flaps, and a re-run pulls against the approved sample so the print and the fold stay matched.
