Product Description

Where food display boxes are used

Counter trays, bakery and deli islands, checkout add-on positions, café chillers and market stalls. The front is cut low or folds down completely, so the customer sees the product and lifts it out directly - which is what makes an open-front box convert better at a food counter than a closed carton on a shelf.

Typical fills are wrapped sandwiches and pastry boxes stacked two deep, snack bars and biscuit packs beside the till, loose bakery items against a paper liner, and seasonal gift food sets assembled as a shelf-ready shipper. Base footprint, wall height and front depth are all cut to the product, so one unit can hold 24 packs of 80g or 12 pastry boxes.

Structure and food-safe material choices

Food contact decides the build. The inner face is PE-coated or laminated board so grease and moisture stay off the outer print, and the liner grade is quoted to the product - direct-contact film for unpacked bakery, a moisture barrier for chilled or frozen aisles. The base locks rather than glues, so the display assembles flat in seconds at the store and the corners hold a full weight of product without sagging.

Board is chosen against the load and the shelf life: 300g - 400g SBS for a light counter unit, B-flute corrugated where the display also travels as a shipper. A tear strip, carry handle or a printed insert card can be added, and a clear PET lid is available where the item needs protection as well as visibility.

Why custom food display boxes from CRIIO

CRIIO cuts the display to the pack, not to a stock size: send the product dimensions or a sample and we return a size sheet, a physical sample and a quotation against your quantity, so the front height, base lock and liner are confirmed before platemaking.

Because the unit is folded and ships flat, a store gets a shelf-ready display out of a carton with no assembly hardware and no extra freight volume. The same tool then carries the whole range with only the print changing, so adding a flavour costs artwork, not a new die.
