Where magnetic closure gift boxes are used
The pack is chosen where the unboxing is the point and the box is kept: corporate and client gifts, fragrance and cosmetics sets, watches and jewellery, spirits minis, premium tea and confectionery, wedding and new-born gifting, and award or anniversary packs.
It also suits a gift that travels. Because the closure is magnets rather than a tab, the flap stays shut inside a courier outer and still snaps closed when the customer reuses the box, so the pack keeps working after the gift is gone. Where a range shares one size, several fills run on the same tooling and only the print sheet and the insert change.
How the magnet closure is built
The magnets are bonded into pockets in the board and the wrap paper is turned over them, so nothing is visible from outside and the surface reads as one clean panel. Pull strength comes from magnet size and count rather than from the paper, and the pockets sit on the flap corners where the shear load is lowest.
The flap is a single bevel on a greyboard shell, typically 1200g - 1600g, wrapped in art paper, specialty stock or leatherette. Because the closure holds under its own load, the box can carry a deep deboss or heavy foil without a tab failing at the corner. Interior options are a lined base, an EVA or velvet tray, a ribbon pull, or a hinged divider that presents the contents as the lid lifts.
